Mikulić Mario

(Korcula, 1924 - Sarajevo, 1991) A Bosnian-Herzegovinian painter Mikulic is known for portraits in different techniques from realism to expressionism. One is from the Yugoslav painting elite who went to Bugojno to portray Tito. In addition to the interest in portrait and human figure in Mikulic's work, two other important themes appear: a look at the Sarajevo Street of Miskin, from his studio window, and Dalmatian fisheries. For a time he was also president of the Association of Fine Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also received the Sixth Prize of the City of Sarajevo in 1966 for his fertile artistic work.
