Dimitrijević Vojo

Vojo Dimitrijević (May 20, 1910, Sarajevo; August 12, 1980, Sarajevo) was one of the most important Bosnian painters of the 20th century and the founder of modern art in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the State Art School in Belgrade in 1936, and then visited Andre Lot's studio in Paris. He participated in the founding of ULUBIH and the School of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, where he worked as director and professor. He was a member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
