Jurkić Gabrijel (Livno, 1886.- Livno, 1974.) He was the first educated painter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who painted under the influence of secession and pointillism. 1907/1908 became a student of the Temporary School of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb, 1908/1909. he enrolled at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, where he was immediately transferred to the fourth year of the general painting department in the class of Alois Deluge, 1909/1911. attends a special course by Kazimir Pochwalski and studies the segment "Study of the Art of Bosnian History".
